Privacy Policy
This policy explains how FurFolder (“FurFolder,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects and uses information when you visit our website, join our early-access list, or use an invited product feature.
Information we collect
Information you provide
When you join the early-access list, we collect your first name, email address, number of pets, and whether you use iPhone, Android, or both. If invited product features are made available to you, you may choose to provide pet profile details, care information, health notes, expenses, provider information, medication details, calendar entries, and documents you upload.
Website activity
We use limited first-party analytics to collect the page viewed, approximate traffic source or referring page, buttons selected, date and time, and a randomly generated visitor identifier. Our hosting and infrastructure providers may also process standard technical information such as IP address, browser or device type, and request logs to deliver and protect the service. We do not use the analytics identifier to learn your name or read the contents of your pet records.
Cookies and privacy signals
Our analytics uses a first-party cookie named ff_visitor containing a random identifier. It may remain in your browser for up to one year. An opt-out cookie remembers your analytics choice for up to one year. FurFolder does not currently use third-party advertising cookies.
We honor enabled Global Privacy Control and browser “Do Not Track” signals by not starting our first-party analytics. You may also use the control below at any time.
Analytics choice
FurFolder uses limited first-party analytics to understand visits and improve the website. You can turn that analytics off on this browser.
Analytics is currently allowed on this browser.
How we use information
- To save and manage early-access registrations.
- To communicate about FurFolder access, product updates, and service-related matters.
- To operate requested features and organize information you choose to enter.
- To understand website usage, improve reliability, prevent misuse, and plan the product.
- To comply with law and protect the rights, safety, and integrity of FurFolder and its users.
How information is disclosed
We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Information may be processed by service providers that host or support FurFolder, such as website, database, file-storage, authentication, email-delivery, and infrastructure providers. They receive information only as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information when legally required or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable law.
Retention and security
We retain early-access information while the list is active and as reasonably needed for the purposes described above. Analytics events may be retained to evaluate website performance. Invited members may delete their FurFolder product data from the Profile screen when that feature is available. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep another copy of critical veterinary documents.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete information you provided, or unsubscribe from promotional email. You may also disable first-party analytics above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. California residents may have additional rights depending on the law and whether its coverage thresholds apply to FurFolder.
Children
FurFolder is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information, contact us so we can address it.
International visitors
FurFolder is operated from the United States. If you visit from another country, your information may be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location. We will add any additional notices or choices required before offering covered services in a jurisdiction.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as FurFolder changes. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated on the website or through another appropriate notice.
Contact and requests
For a privacy request or question, reply to a FurFolder message you received and write “Privacy Request” in the subject line. Include the email address used to join so we can locate the correct record. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
